intacs® Certified Process Expert and Provisional Assessor (Automotive SPICE® 4.0) — combined

The standard route to Provisional Assessor is Process Expert first, then Provisional Assessor. This course — the “Combined Lane” — does both in one go, and gets you there faster. The requirements for both certifications are unchanged, so homework is set between the two parts and presented during the second. Active participation across the whole course is the key to passing.

  • The process dimension, then the capability dimension — introduced, then deepened
  • Rating scales, rating mechanism and rating rules, and deriving a capability level rating
  • How to improve processes

  • Interview technique, note-taking, and deriving objective evidence statements
  • Group activities throughout

Practicalities

How certification works

The exam is not ours to award, and the distinction matters — we teach the syllabus and prepare you for an examination administered elsewhere.

The exam is administered by the VDA QMC — for most courses

Not by Envorso. Examination fees are additional to the training price, and the current fees are published by the VDA QMC. Online examinations are run over Zoom, and a working webcam is mandatory. Two courses differ and say so on their own entry: SPICE for Mechanical Engineering is examined by ECQA, and the Automotive SPICE® 4.0 Upgrade has no examination.

Certification is applied for separately

After passing, participants apply to the VDA for certification themselves. That step is independent of the training, and it carries its own fee.

Taught by practising assessors

Every course is delivered by experienced intacs® Certified Principal Assessors with real assessment practice behind them, who are also accredited intacs® instructors. Not by trainers who only teach.

What a place includes

Training documents and a confirmation of participation. Material is in English. For online delivery everything is supplied electronically as PDF.
